April 2017: Books to Read and Review
A fresh new stack of books to read and review on a record-high Sunday in Brooklyn. Last month I nearly made it through the entire stack (I’m currently reading Mary Gaitskill’s new book of essays and criticism) and had an interesting time rebuilding my review forecast. Graphic novels have made a welcome return, and an advanced copy of Haruki Murakami’s new book of interlocking short stories Men Without Women made this perhaps my most coveted stack to date.
From top to bottom:
Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami (Knopf)
Nabokov’s Favorite Word Is Mauve by Ben Blatt (Simon & Schuster)
Augustown by Kei Miller (Pantheon)
Everything is Flammable by Gabrielle Bell (Uncivilized Books)
The Golem’s Mighty Swing by James Sturm (Drawn & Quarterly)
Imagine Wanting Only This by Kristen Radtke (Pantheon)
