Nothing says Happy Saint Patrick’s Day like sushi and robots.

Le Petit Robot Jaune

Or maybe sometimes comics, but not always. Definitely a drawing everyday, though. I sent this one of a cute yellow robot playing the drum to Grenoble, France.

Robotz and Eelz 1

I drew this for Oppy’s Big Team Scribble, but I’ve pretty much decided to use these robotz in my commitment to drawing comics this year. Humor me. I’ve always wanted to draw, so I’m taking Michael Nobbs’ 20 minutes a day challenge. Sure, my comics will be rough hewn. I don’t know if they will be good, or funny, or anything really, but I figure I can carve out 20 minutes a day – on the bus, at lunch – for practice.

Oh yeah, and today I started writing morning pages, too.

I didn’t write this. I just thought it was really funny when a friend shared it with me last night :)

Postcard to Germany
A while ago I came across Postcrossing.com, a site that facilitates the sending of postcards to complete strangers. You send a postcard to a man in Bangladesh, and someone else in Rotterdam sends you one back. The postcard you send is a selfless gift from which you expect nothing in return. It’s not about reciprocity. It’s about connection.

I sent this drawing to a 52-year-old German woman. I hoope she likes it.

What it is.

Run Spot Run is about creating art, telling stories, and making music. We’re a single family committed to creativity, and at least one of us thought it might be a good idea to share it. (*_*)
